Today Staal who has been amazing this year. Nets a Hatty to bring the canes from behind over the “we used to be good” St. Louis “No pun intended ” BLues.

This Victory Marks the 7th Win in a row and the 8th come from behind by 2 goals win.

I think Every post from now on will include the Stanley Cup. I cannot wait to view it here in its new home.

Poor NHL I’m sure that they really would rather it was some other team playing like this…its not though. It’s the unlikely Carolina Hurricanes that some “experts” picked to finish last in the NHL… Unlike myself who predicted a Stanley Cup win this year.

This game will be a joke, Carolina will Crush the Preds at home tonight.

Truthfully I have a hard time even thinking about this game because I think it will be a blowout.. I hate Nashville and Tenesee makes me want to puke.

Friday Night Game, Should be a packed house the canes are going for 6 in a row.

I tried to log in to the Predators Message board and talk some smack but for some reason they would not send me a password…. my email address might be getting flagged as I have been kicked from a few other message boards already.

How did all the Detroit fans like that? All you people that went the game just because it was Detroit…too bad so sad. The Hurricanes are are on the way to the stanley cup and the red wings were in the road… and they were run over.

Alot of People thought I was crazy when I predicted a Stanley Cup for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Let’s Look at the Facts:

Carolina Hurricanes are :

28-10-4 and have 60 Points
1st in the Southeast
3rd in the Eastern Conference (2pts out of 1st) and there is not a team out there the Hurricanes can’t beat.

-Beating almost every team of note along the way, including the victory over the Red Wings Last night.

Why are the Canes so good this year?

Eric Staal tearing it up this year,

New Faces like Stillman, Whitney, Cullen, Tverdoskvy, Gerber, Ward, have definately been a bonus. Even the youngsters like Ladd, and Larose, have been contributing this year.

The Old Stalwarts playing well like they always have, Brind’amour, Cole, Aaron Ward, Adams and Adams,Wesley.

The New Rules have definately helped, New rules that allow hockey to be actually played… Don’t get me wrong I love the Hitting, and yes I admit even the fighting. I don’t miss the holding and hooking and crosschecking in front of the net that sometimes was called and sometimes wasn’t.

I think the #1 reason and all the previous points are part of this for sure … but the number one reason the Carolina Hurricanes are in doing so well.. the one thing that if you took all the other ones away would still have a HUGE impact is Coaching.

We have the Best Coach in the NHL here in Carolina right now.

I saw him do an excellent job in NY and I remember thinking when we were watching Maurice here that a coach like Laviolette is exactly what we need here in Carolina.
What a move by the Hurricanes to bring him here.
