The US team isn’t doing so hot but Hurricanes Goalie Martin Gerber wins against the NHL Star Packed Canadian Team.

What a game.

The Hurricanes last game saw them lose to the last place penguins, In this last game before the Olympic break the Hurricanes wanted to head off or out to Italy with a nice win. (The Hurricanes have 7 players going to the Olympics, and Laviolette is the USA Olympic Hockey Coach)

A’ la George Castanza ” leaving on a high note”   In front of a Sellout Crowd Near 19,000 the Hurricanes defeated the Buffaloe Sabres 4-3 (SO).   Justin williams saved the game when the sabres jumped ahead in the Shoot out then, Staal came in with a boxer like head fake and put one by Miller who had been battered with shots in the the overtime.  The Hurricanes dominated the overtime period but couldnt solve Miller.

This game had an almost playoff like feel to it.  I cannot to watch the hurricanes win the Cup this year.

THe Hurricanes have 7 players headed for the olympics today and are having a special ceremony before the game.

Could be some parties happening today at the stadium, I hear the Game is Pretty much sold out.  Now that the team is on playing so well the area is pretty wired for the Hurricanes right now. Some of the hardcore fans are dismissing them as Bandwagon fans but I don’t mind. Its all fun.  Even people I know that said they hate hockey are kinda gettin into it.

I know I’ll be leavin early.

I really do not think Sabres will score a goal.

Game Day Prediction

Canes Victory tonight of course… really though they have a 16 pt lead over the Lightning now… why not make it 18.

It sounds like it should be an easy game but I think the lightning have been playin well over their last 10 games.

The Cup
