Thank You Flyers

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Commentary

I just wanted to take a moment to thank the Flyers for Rod Brind’Amour and Justin Williams. I think its clear that the Hurricanes got the best of that deal. They got a whiny beanpole and we get Brindy, who is a Rock. And Williams he is having  a great season and just keeps improving.
Thank you also for taking away the Prima Donna Primeau. He wasn’t as bad as Jeff O’Neil, the smoking boozehound, but he was close.

100 Points : Hurricanes Clinch Playoffs with 2-1 Victory over EX-Champs

I love the Coach.

“Obviously, the goal is to win the Stanley Cup,” coach Peter Laviolette said. “But there’s a road that you have to go down to get there, and there’s 82 games on it. You have to play all of them, and if you have to play them, you might as well win them.” Nuff said.

I also loved when Brindy Shoved Sarich in the face for shooting on Gerber after the whistle. Even if the ref called a penalty that led a 5 on 3. You gotta protect the goalie.
“Center Doug Weight and defensemen Bret Hedican and Niclas Wallin sat out for the third straight game with lower-body injuries, leaving the Hurricanes with 226 games lost to injuries. But with Recchi finally tallying a point, they had enough to improve to 3-3 against Tampa Bay this season. ”

This is the year there is not a team out there as good as the Carolina Hurricanes even with the injuries including the cheap shot on Cole, the Hurricanes have remained one of the TOP teams in the eastern Conference.
Last night RECCHI scored what I hope is the first of many in this year. Nothing bad will come of him starting to feel comfortable in North Carolina.

Of note Stillman now has 499 Career Points.

Carolina Hurricanes Record Night in Win over Rangers 5-3

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Commentary

Congrats to the Hurricanes for setting franchise records last night in the win over the Rangers.

Franchise Records Set:

Wins: 44 and their

Points: 94

There are still 17 games left in the regular season so 34 more potential points are available.

The Hurricanes are 5-1-2 since the Olympic Break.

Speaking of Potential the new/old players are starting to click with each other.
Doug Weight showed why he was brought in to the Carolina Hurricanes with is 2 goals and assist last night against the Rangers.

Cullen scored his 22nd, Commodore was impressive on defense as usual and scored a goal to complete his game.  Gerber was TALL in net stopping some big chances for New York.

It was fitting to See Ozolinsh  just kinda give up and let that Stillman Open net shot go in at the end.  Oz is another loser that we had on the team in the past.  As soon as I saw him in front of the net I knew he wouldn’t put any extra effort to stop it, he can’t even keep out of rehab long.
Another great performance from this Stanley Cup bound Carolina Hurricanes.

Carolina Hurricanes Bolster the Team with Recchi

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Commentary

Nice move wow is this a completely different management from past years??? Wow impressive move again by the Carolina Hurricanes…

I just looked at the Yahoo Carolina Hurricanes sports ticker … “apparently are serious about contending for the stanley cup” it said….

First in the NHL with 91 points … Yes we are serious you idiots in the National Press need to WAKE UP you don’t have to be in Detroit or some other Rundown shitty place to live to have a good hockey team.

Carolina Hurricanes are rockin and I can’t wait to be tailgating in the playoffs and watching this team Win the Stanley Cup.

Recchi’s Statsand Bio Here

Recchi adds alot of power to the team and will help with the loss of Cole, and when Cole Comes back in the playoff watch out.

.6 seconds from victory the Hurricanes Lose a tough one in Phili

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Commentary

It was 2-1 with 0 seconds left…. then with 0.6 on the clock the Flyers put one past Gerber to send the game to overtime. I have to give the flyers some credit here they never gave up kept fighting and came away with a shootout victory. Forseberg scored one and made it loook easy by almost not shooting to sneak it by Gerber.. to tie the Shootout.

In the old days the Huricanes would have been somewhat satisfied with the 1 point, I doubt this hurricanes team is really happy about losing in the last .6 seconds of the game.

New York Rangers will lose by at least 3 tonight

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Commentary

I dont like the rangers. I was banned from their message boards for just talking hockey, no bad language nothing just simply stating the Hurricanes were going to win.

Just Like I have been saying that the Hurricanes are going to win the Stanley Cup this year.

Brooks Orpik Cheap shots Cole in 7-5 Carolina hurricanes Victory.

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Commentary

Wow the 1st period of this game was amazing, the Canes came out a little flat but scored 5 goals on both of the Pens Goalies…after 2 Caron who supposedly was “awesome” against the canes… got schooled quickly and a goalie change was made and “Oh Dear!” 3 more goals were scored on aa sorry Looking Fleury…. A great night for the canes until the victory was marred by a cheap shot on Erik Cole.

Cole scored 2 goals to bring himself to 30 for the first time in his career.
Brooks “the PRICK” Orpik decides to hit him from behind into the boards when he clearly was not looking… what an asshole.

The Penguins SUCK we all know it they have no chance at anything this season and this loser decides to knock Cole out for the remainder of the season. What a peice of garbage. Hitting him from behind the coward he is.

Oprik is a guy that just can’t quite make it.. going up and down from NHL to AHL because he just doesnt have what it takes…. he has never done much he is physical and a dirty player with little to no skill. Once upon a time some teams liked people like that… although the cheap shot has never been popular… lets face it Cole is lucky he could have broken his neck…. Guys like Oprik the PRICK should be eliminated from the NHL.
I hope the NHL makes him pay for this by fining and him and suspending him for the rest of the season. At the least if the Penguins and Mario have any class at all he will be removed from the team for being a pile of shit, and Bitch.
This sucks but the canes have the players to overcome the loss of Cole and hopefully he will be back at playoff time to continue helping the team finish what has been the Best season Hurricanes history.
Erik our thoughts and prayers are with you as you recover from this vicious cheap shot by Orpik.

Pathetic Panthers can’t stop the Hurricanes

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Commentary

Even with 5 minutes of powerplay time in the 2nd period and 2, and 2 5 on 3 advantages the Panthers can’t win.  Carolina 5 Panthers 2.
The Hurricanes got a lot of special teams practice last night and won again this time Gerber really showed why the Hurricanes grabbed him up by dominating this game.

Add 2 goals from Staal.  and 2 From Cole and and C. Adams Goal and you get a nice victory and 86 points.

The Hurricanes are 23-0 when they lead after the 2nd period. IMpressive.

Prediction for tonight’s game against the Pens.. Hurricanes 7 Pens 1.

Hurricanes 4 Boston Bruins 3

Posted by admin in Hurricanes Scores

It wasn’t the best game i’ve seen and really I would say the Canes beat the Bruins and they really played not so good… looked a little sluggish in the beggining and at one point in the 2nd period where Boston Scored 2 quick goals in succession the Bruins fans sitting around me were pretty damn happy, looking at me in my Hurricanes gear and kind of snickering.. So i happily said hey its just Boston we are playing..its not like the Canes will lose the game. Being cool people they laughed and thought I was joking.

I wasnt and I was right. The Hurricanes Stepped it up in the 3rd and of course they won. Do all boston fans talk like that with that horrible accent? IF you meet someone from Boston just mention Boston and they start talking all strange.

Anyway The Hurricanes played like the pre olympic break in the 3rd and it was excellent.
This game was really an example of how great team can play crappy and beat team that is just not very good this year.

Go Canes.
