Canes Crash the Nets and Crush Canadiens

Look for another podcast later tonight, but for now that was a great victory and as I mentioned in my podcast. The Hurricanes won. Huet played great but couldn’t stand up to the Williams, Ward, Brindy Shots.

Cam Ward, keep it up nice to see a 22 year old come in and play like a Vet… He is looking like did early in the regular season, What a great time to show that skill.

How about Eric Staal Double shifting in the first period… seemed like he was out on the ice as much as Brind’Amour.

Montreal is playing tough but this Hurricanes Team is much much better than even than the team that went to the Finals in 2002… As i Have been saying since October.

The Stanley Cup is on it’s way to North Carolina.

Carolina Hurricanes Brind’amour , Staal’s Game Winner Blow by Canadiens in Overtime

The Hurricanes don’t need spectacular goaltending to win.. but they got it tonight. 22 year old Cam ward played near perfect stopping 27 of 28 shots to help the Carolina Hurricanes to a 2-1 Road Playoff Victory. I predicted a win.. score was way off but oh well…. I knew Staal would score tonight and he had the Game Winner in Overtime.

Is there a player more dependable and consistant than Brindy? When I think that we got Brind’amour for Keith Primeau I laugh and laugh. Thanks again for that trade Flyers.
I think this is backbreaker for Montreal.

I have been a huge fan of Eric Staal’s play all year and tonight is just the beginning Staal is going to open it up and I predict will score and keep on scoring more and more as the Hurricanes make their way to the Stanley Cup.

Prediction: Carolina Hurricanes Whirl to a 6-2 Victory over Montreal

Montreal will once again choke. Just like it happened in 2002 and theo was crushed into pulp and was never the same was never able to play well in that Canadien uniform… The Carolina Hurricanes will beat on the HABS tonight.
Staal gets 2 goals tonight.
Go Canes.

Canadiens felt the Storm: Prediction 4- 3 Series win for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Playoffs

They may have won that game last night but they now fear the Hurricanes. Last nights game saw a very different team come out after Gerber was yanked. ( thank god) I mean The goals he gave up last night were bad…. The Carolina Hurricanes don’t need a GREAT goaltender to win… just one that will stop the puck… especially the easy ones… I had an up close view last night since I picked up some Lower Level tix and Gerber Looked awful….

The Bright side is the fire From Mid Season seemed to come back to the team after the 1st period.

I am going to go ahead and predict a 4-3 win for the Canes.

Canadiens to Hurricanes: You suck.

That is pretty much the message that was sent to the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night in the 6-1 stomping.
The crowd was loud, the canes played hard and scored it was amazing…. then the 1st minute was over. I should have left.

I have been looking thru all the articles about the game and some are blaming Gerber, especially the local writers.
The Hurricanes had a lot of PowerPlay opportunites and did not score, including a 5 on 3 for a full minute. They went O fer 5 on all the Power Play Chances… Gerber didn’t have much to do with that. The game I went to showed the the Hurricanes were confused and outplayed.
Montreal, on the other hand, played as I would expect a team in the Stanley Cup Playoffs to play… the Hurricanes played much how they did the last quarter of the season… without much heart. Their Goalie, Huet stopped 43 shots..A playoff like performance.
I have full confidence that the Coach will turn things around and we will see a victory on Monday night, and I guess hey this also means we can win the round here at home in game 5.
Go Canes.
