Carolina Hurricanes Take 3-1 Lead in Stanley Cup Slow

A slow start, good 2nd period and excellent defensive, and special teams. Along with with some nice shooting by Stillman, and Recchi,, the passing from Staal (who everyone was saying was slumping… ? ) Count on the media to find some BS to focus on. Staal’s assist on Rechi’s goal was awesome. The Carolina Defense and Defensive Play by the offense players was incredible but not surprising considering how many penalties they killed against NJ, and Buffalo they had plenty of practice.

Super Staal Scores With 3 Seconds Left to Force Overtime: Canes WIN!!!

What a game… The entire crowd chanting Goal GOAL GOAL GOAL GOAL at the end was awesome. New jersey thought they had it won with that silly lucky almost high stick goal with 20 seconds left. Sorry Devils. Did you forget that you were playing the Carolina Hurricanes ? Kings of Overtime. The team that does not quit. Here are a few good links to great articles.
I managed to have a good time at that incredible game despite my continued dissappointment with the price gouging of season ticket holders for the next rounds of Playoffs. If anyone has any extras for the next 2 rounds Let me know. :)
Now for some fun: In appreciation of the effort last night I put together a little video… its not great but hey its just for fun. Enjoy. It does take a little bit to load. Be Patient.

Carolina Hurricanes Brind’amour , Staal’s Game Winner Blow by Canadiens in Overtime

The Hurricanes don’t need spectacular goaltending to win.. but they got it tonight. 22 year old Cam ward played near perfect stopping 27 of 28 shots to help the Carolina Hurricanes to a 2-1 Road Playoff Victory. I predicted a win.. score was way off but oh well…. I knew Staal would score tonight and he had the Game Winner in Overtime.

Is there a player more dependable and consistant than Brindy? When I think that we got Brind’amour for Keith Primeau I laugh and laugh. Thanks again for that trade Flyers.
I think this is backbreaker for Montreal.

I have been a huge fan of Eric Staal’s play all year and tonight is just the beginning Staal is going to open it up and I predict will score and keep on scoring more and more as the Hurricanes make their way to the Stanley Cup.
