Montreal Game - Its tough 2 win when you are 2 goals down in the first few minutes.. then top that off with some of the WORST officiating I have ever seen. A Horrible Game.

Bright Spot - The Staal Penalty Shot was fun and lit the stadium up for a few mins…and really after the goalie change the Hurricanes played well if it wasn’t for the fact that the refs really sucked they might have had a shot at coming back at this game.

Islanders Game - Champions rebound and the canes did to come back and dominate the Coach’s old team. Way to go Canes. Brindy Notches a Hat Trick!

Fox Sports Broadcasts Painful To Watch

Since I ‘ve gotten HDTV its really hard to watch any show thats not in HD. I know how that sounds if you don’t have HD… if you do have HD then you probably completely understand, and if you are a hockey fan you agree totally.

I am sick of the crappy feeds coming in on fox sports. Almost every game I have to watch on on the Local Fox sports affiliate hurts my eyes.

Why do we have to suffer watching Hurricanes Hockey in the crappy quality that fox sports uses ???? Especially when we have all this stations here in the area broadcasting in HD and all the available HD in the Raleigh area…

I don’t even know who to blame for this its just aggravating every time I go to watch a game and its on that horrible fox broadcast low quality channel.

As predicted the Canes went up Canad and Mopped up every team they faced. Very Impressive especially the last 2 victories. Ward is looking so good I hate to even think about it I’m afraid I’ll ruin it. I heard allot all off season about how much weight he lost and how fast he was and WOW he is fast. More importantly he is playing smart he is almost always in position to make the save and if he’s a little out his DC Comics like reflexes kick in and he makes the save… Top that off with a team that is working hard on Defense and Offense and you get one hell of a road trip.

Hurricanes Blast the Sens 5-3 Make It look easy.

Hurricanes had another great game last night, dominating the 2nd of 3 Canadian teams they will play this week. 7-1 Victory over the leafs, and last nights amazing performance against the previously undefeated Sens… The Hurricanes had no trouble with the Sens who really didn’t look like they should be undefeated.. Cam ward Played amazing and that didn’t hurt stopping some great chances from giving the Sens the Lead.

The Hurricanes are coming alive I can’t wait to watch them mop up the hated Montreal Team On Sat. Night.

Opening Night Against the Hated Montreal Team…. Prediction: Hurricanes 4 Montreal 1.
The Hurricanes are looking great this year reminds me of the year I predicted a Stanley Cup victory… playing montreal again reminds of some fun in the past.
I doubt many people remember this post.

I look forward to even more fun this season.

Back to the Rink

Yes I did it again. I had our company buy season tix… went in thinking of a 10 pack on the lower level and instead picked up a 24 pack to share around the office. It was expensive but Hockey is one sport that I LOVE and its fun to take the family out and tailgate once in a while… not to mention the playoffs later in the year…

So back to the rink and since these seats are closer I may even have a few good pictures to put on here and def count on some podcasts. I had allot of fun during the Stanley Cup run and had even more fun with fans from other teams. Look for more of that As we try and fire up some fans from other teams.

After Stanley Cup Year More Frustration

I know I haven’t written here much lately I have been busy with a new business and also with exploring Western North Carolina Real Estate options. I have had trouble this year getting to as many games as in the year’s past and based on the news I see I haven’t missed much.

This last trade deadline passing and picking up Carter who I still have pretty negative feelings about based on watching him play against the Caroline Hurricanes for years, made me ill. I just don’t like him. I know he had a great year last year and hey maybe he can spark something this year. I doubt it will happen. I hope he proves me wrong, but I think there may be a reason he has played on so many teams.

Not A Good Way to Go the All Star Break

Losing and losing in shootouts. Not a good way to head the the all star break. What has been the difference this year over last? Could it be that the goalie situation is it? I know nobody wants to say anything bad about Ward.. he did an incredible thing last year in the SC but he is a young player. Many people have seemed to forget that Gerber had what 38 wins last season? I could be wrong but I think he set a franchise record. Yes he choked in the playoffs but maybe we should have held on to him. Many players may find themselves opening a painting business in April if the play doesn’t improve.

Goodbye Kevyn Adams

With Kevyn Adams leaving made me wonder what kind of career he may be doing in the future after when he retires. He has many opportunities to to work and make money. NHL commentator, maybe in the booth with Tripp Tracy. Who knows. One thing he may be looking into is a painting business that can be a wonderful to employ people in the community and make some money.

Hurricanes Dominate Old Coach in a 4-1 Win

Really the whole team deserves to be there but these 3 got the stars for the victory. After watching a video in the Hockey Hall of Fame of their Stanley Cup Run they went in the next night and pounded the Leafs 4-1.

The fans booed the leafs in the final minutes of the game. I love it. Nice Victory Canes.
