Laviolette Carolina Hurricanes Coach for 5 More Years

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Commentary

Another item to celebrate the man that should have won Coach of the Year will be here for a long time.   Rutherford continues to impress by making smart moves.
Nice Work JR.  Lets see how everthing shakes out with the players now.

I am optimistic.

Not a Carolina Hurricanes Fan -Charlotte Writer Shows The Green Monster…

**Newer Posts Below this one I wanted to make sure everyone saw this one**

Apparently some local writer in Charlotte wrote an article trashing the Stanley Cup the Playoffs, the NHL, the Hurricanes etc… I would have probably ignored it but a couple of days later he wrote an article about how alive and well the world cup is …. you know I don t like soccer much but pretty much any sport that people love is cool with me, but trash hockey and applaud the world cup in the same month? This guy shouldn’t be allowed to write a sports column, at least not in the US. Any person of intelligence that is a fan of sports cannot have anything but a tremendous amount of respect for hockey players and the Stanley Cup Playoffs.. it is simply THE toughest professional Sports Championship to obtain.
Top Reasons why you think Tom Sorenson, Charlotte Columnist, Wrote an article Trashing the NHL, Stanley Cup and Carolina Hurricanes

MORON

  1. He is Jealous of attention going to another city other than Charlotte
  2. He wants to generate negative buzz and attention for himself
  3. He is a Moron
  4. He is big pansy and sports like hockey make him wet his pants
  5. He is distraught over the fact that no one cares about the crappy basketball team they have in his City

Brindy In Carolina 5 more Years

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Commentary

You know I admit I was one of the people yelling profanity at Rutherford’s Box sometimes during the Hurricanes in the past years….when we had to suffer through some bad seasons, bad coaching and some overpriced players that really were a waste of money. I am happy to be proven wrong about JM. He is topping off a fantastic year by signing Rod Brind’Amour to a 5 year deal… Great news for us since he is in such good shape he will probably play til he’s 60. Nice Work J. R.

Next Laviolette, and the restricted Free Agents… I would hate to see Cullen Who I think is Unrestricted go anywhere else.

More to come.

Brindy Gets Much Deserved Award

Posted by admin in Carolina Hurricanes Commentary

Rod Brind’Amour Wins Frank J. Selke Trophy for best Defensive Forward 2006.

“Brind’Amour outdistanced the field by receiving 80 first-place votes and was named on 108 of 129 ballots for 954 points. Three-time Selke winner Jere Lehtinen of the Dallas Stars was second with 567 points.”

Rod Brind'Amour

Congrats To Brindy.

What can you say about him? I know Cam Ward is MVP of Playoffs but without a Doubt Captain Carolina took this team on his shoulders many times and carried Congrats on a much deserved award. Everytime I think that we got Brindy for Keith Primeau it makes me laugh.
